How to Use EAs on MT4

Step 1: Download an EA or build one yourself. Users can build their own EAs or purchase and download EAs created by others. MQL5 is one platform where you can download EAs.
Step 2: Copy the EA file to MetaTrader 4 > Expert. Confirm the installation location of MetaTrader 4 (usually on the C drive). Move or copy the EA file to the “Expert” folder in MetaTrader 4.
Step 3: Select the EA you want to install on MT4. Open the MT4 program and click “Auto Trading” (located on the left side of the upper navigation). Click the plus sign. Available EAs will be listed here. Drag the EA you want to install onto one of the charts.
